Optimization of titanium dioxide wetting in alkyd paint and varnish materials in the presence of surfactants

This paper reports the results of studying influence surfactants (SAS) on wetting titanium dioxide in alkyd paint and varnish materials (PVM), based pentaphthalic (PPh) alkyd-urethane (AU) film-forming substances. Edge angle (?°) adhesion work (Wa) were used as criteria for assessing wettability dioxide. Three additives SAS: original product AS-1, obtained from waste oil refining (with low cost), industrial additives: "Telaz" polyethylene polyamine (PEPA). All studied PPh AU PVM improve At 30 % content AS substance composition, maximum decrease ?° AS-1 is 4.5°, PEPA Telaz it 4°. For composition under similar conditions, a edge 10 °, 8.6°, 5.9°.
